John Tracy Center
John Tracy Center non-profit whose mission is to provide parent-centered services to young children with hearing loss, offering hope, guidance, and encouragement. Our goals are to give these children the speech, language, and listening skills to participate fully in their school, community, and life, and to give their parents the knowledge and capabilities to mentor and participate fully in the process. We are a California-based non-for-profit 501C3 organization, established since 1943 by Louise Treadwell Tracy, wife of actor Spencer Tracy, and named after their son John who was born deaf. JTC offers the following services for young children with hearing loss and their families: - Audiology services - Hearing assessments and evaluations for infants and children (ages 0 to 18) - Parent-Infant early intervention program - Counseling and child development services - Worldwide parent-centered education and resources - Dickinson C. Ross Auditory-verbal Preschool - Dickinson C. Ross Inclusion Preschool - Friday Family School - Summer Session programs for both international and local area families - Graduate Program - Teacher education via our Master's and Credential program through a partnership with Mt.
