As of November 26, 2006, Spacient Technologies, Inc. (Spacient) was acquired by Trimble, Inc. (NASD:TRMB). Spacient is an early mobile technology industry pioneer providing enterprise field service management and mobile mapping software on smartphones and tablets for municipalities and utilities in the United States. The company was founded in 2000 by Christopher Stern, a utility and technology industry leader, and headquartered in Southern California.
